The Supreme Court has declared two hacker groups extremist

The Supreme Court of the Russian Federation has declared two hacker groups extremist and banned their activities in the country. This was announced on July 21 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

We are talking about the associations "Cyberpartisans BY" ("Cyberpartisans", Cyberpartizans) and Silent Crow ("Silent Raven"). The case was considered behind closed doors, but representatives of the press were allowed to announce the final decision.

It has been established that the members of these formations are involved in cyber attacks on critical infrastructure facilities and government institutions in Russia and Belarus. In particular, the hackers targeted the IT infrastructure of Aeroflot.

It is also reported that the reason for the recognition of extremist hacker groups Cyberpartizans and Silent Crow was their cooperation with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
