The Russian Foreign Ministry has not received any requests from the ambassadors of the Eurotroika countries for a new meeting

The ambassadors of the so—called "Eurotroika" — Great Britain, Germany and France - did not ask for new meetings with the staff of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ukraine. This was announced on July 21 by Alexander Grushko, Deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"It didn't happen," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Grushko stressed that contact is still maintained between the diplomatic departments, including those of unfriendly countries. During the meeting, as the deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation clarified, we are talking about issues related to the functioning of diplomatic missions in the country.

According to him, the results of the relevant interaction are usually reported in the same way as the expulsion of diplomats.

The Ambassadors of Britain, France and Germany — Nigel Casey, Nicolas de Riviere and Alexander Lambsdorff — arrived at the Russian Foreign Ministry on July 11 and met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin.

On July 19, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the heads of European diplomatic missions during the conversation confirmed the ultimatum that had previously been put forward to Moscow. He called this the sole purpose of the visit made by representatives of the Eurotroika to the department. Galuzin called unacceptable the approaches of France, Germany and Britain in Ukraine.
