Applications for cultural education grants will be collected in Moscow

Applications for grants for higher education in the field of culture and art will be accepted in Moscow on August 1. This was announced by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his channel in Maks.

"Moscow is creating all the opportunities for talented young people to realize themselves in creative professions and further develop the cultural life of our city," the head of Moscow wrote.

The payments allow graduates of the capital's schools and colleges to compensate up to 100% of the cost of paid tuition at the country's leading creative universities, Sobyanin noted. This year, 30 grants are provided in the fields of music (including sound engineering), architecture (including graphics and design), painting, sculpture, choreography and cinema, the head of the capital noted.

More than 30 universities participate in the program, including the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory, GITIS, VGIK, and the Russian Academy of Music. Gnessins, the Moscow Art Institute, the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet, and others. Applications will be accepted until August 16 at mos.ru .

Sobyanin recalled that 78 applications were received in 2025, and 20 people won grants. "The guys have already started their second year and are building a professional future in the field of culture and art," said the mayor of Moscow.
