Indian Foreign Ministry summoned Charge d'affaires of Russia Ladanov
The Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned Charge d'affaires of Russia Vladimir Ladanov. This follows from a message published on July 21 on the website of the Foreign Ministry.
According to the publication, during the meeting, an official protest was made to the representative of the Russian Federation in connection with the alleged involvement of the Russian side in the July 19 attack on the MV Golden Leo commercial vessel in the Black Sea, in which four Indian citizens were killed.
Information about the deaths of the sailors was received on Monday, July 20, according to the Hindustan Times. It is specified that the MV Golden Leo was sailing under the flag of Guinea-Bissau. The crew of the cargo ship was formed from citizens of India and Syria.
On July 19, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a massive attack by Ukrainian drones on Russian regions, including in the Black Sea. It was clarified that during the day, air defense systems shot down 161 drones.
