- The architecture of the business program of the II Russian-Chinese Forum has been published
More than 40 thematic platforms, business, sports and cultural events dedicated to cooperation between the two countries will be organized at the II Russian-Chinese Forum, which will be held in Khabarovsk on September 4-6. The forum will bring together more than 3,000 representatives of business, government and creative industries from Russia and China. The event will be held under the motto "Bolshoy Ussuriysky: cooperation in the joint development of the island." The operator is the Roscongress Foundation.
"China is a strategic partner of Russia. We see prospects for the implementation of joint projects in the field of technology and the development of high-tech industries, international trade, and investments. But now the priority is not only the strengthening of economic partnership, but also the development of good neighborliness, the intensification of cultural exchange and public relations. Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island may become one of the points of such contact. We must show the interaction of our countries as an example of harmonious cooperation between the two states, businesses and people who want to become part of the global friendship between Russia and China," said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District.
Within the framework of the business program, issues related to industrial cooperation, the development of transport corridors, export supplies, as well as the implementation of joint projects in the energy, science, education and creative industries will be discussed. In addition, issues related to the use of renewable energy sources, environmental protection, improvement of medical diagnostics and training of qualified personnel will be considered.
"The Russian-Chinese Forum is a space where economics, culture, science and youth initiatives do not run in parallel, but rather reinforce each other. We are building cooperation so that each track supports the others: businesses gain new markets, and cultural and educational projects gain practical benefits and recognition. A striking example of this approach will be the development of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island: production sites, tourist routes and spaces for festivals, student exchanges and meetings will be located nearby. At the forum, we will be putting together this mosaic — discussing not only conditions for residents, but also scenarios for how the territory will become a place of lively dialogue between residents of our countries. The forum's program is designed so that each participant finds their own growth point: an entrepreneur — a platform for negotiations and support measures, a university representative — opportunities for partnerships and the launch of joint educational programs, a young author — a chance to present their ideas and find the first like-minded people. Cultural and sports events will become a natural bridge for informal communication and the search for new collaborations. Our goal is not individual projects, but a sustainable ecosystem of connections that will work after the forum," said Dmitry Demeshin, Governor of the Khabarovsk Territory.
The key event will be the plenary session "Russian-Chinese cooperation: together towards sustainable development and prosperity." During the discussion, they will discuss the state and prospects of the strategic partnership between the two countries, the situation of the border regions and identify new vectors for the development of cooperation.
"Looking back at the results of the first Russian-Chinese forum, held in May last year, we can note the high activity of participants from both sides. At that time, a number of important documents on cooperation were signed, as well as various events in the field of culture, sports and education, which brought rich results. Preparations for the current, second forum are also in full swing. This clearly demonstrates the sincere efforts and foresight shown by the Government of the Khabarovsk Territory, implementing important agreements between the two heads of state and striving to bring cooperation with the Chinese provinces to a new level. I express my sincere admiration for this. Governor Dmitry Demeshin often says: "the word of a man does not fall to the ground!" the government of the Khabarovsk Territory actually confirms this motto, turning plans to develop cooperation with China into concrete, practical steps. There is an old saying in China: "The more wood you put on, the higher the flame rises." The flame of regional Russian-Chinese cooperation will not be extinguished as long as we, friends on both sides, put firewood in it together and move forward hand in hand. As Consul General, I fully support this idea and am confident that this forum will become another broad platform for strengthening friendship and deepening cooperation between our border regions. My colleagues and I, as before, will play a constructive role and, together with our Russian partners, we will make every effort to ensure that the second Russian-Chinese Forum is successful and brings rich results," concluded Jiang Xiaoyang, Consul General of the People's Republic of China (PRC) in Khabarovsk.
The forum will host a meeting of the working group on the integration of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island and a regional meeting on the implementation of the national project "International Cooperation and Export".
Special attention will be paid to issues related to the cross-Years of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of education.
The RCF will discuss the development of tourist routes and the promotion of tourism products, taking into account the visa—free regime between Russia and China, as well as events to strengthen business cooperation - an investment exhibition, B2B negotiations and pitch sessions of projects. The platform "Bridges of Solutions: the development of Bolshoy Ussuriysky" and a series of business events are organized for young people.
The cultural program of the forum will reflect the diversity of traditions of Russia and China. It will include creative and gastronomic events, musical and theatrical productions. The sports program includes a friendly ice hockey match between Russia and China, and the Fuyuan — Khabarovsk International Sailing Regatta along the Amur River.
The Russian-Chinese Forum is organized by the Government of the Khabarovsk Territory with the support of the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, the Russian Export the center.
