Blogger Lercek (real name — Valeria Chekalina) has completed her ninth course of chemotherapy. She continues her medical treatment and professional activities. All the details are in the Izvestia article.
The blogger's health status
Chekalina completed the ninth course of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The blogger was diagnosed with stage IV stomach cancer, the diagnosis was made at the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology. Initially, the symptoms of the disease were mistaken for renal colic.
Despite the end of the course of chemotherapy, treatment continues. Every two weeks, the blogger needs to undergo immune and targeted therapy. According to her lover, choreographer Luis Squicciarini, Chekalina maintains a positive attitude despite periods of physical weakness.
"I want to say that I am proud of Leroy. She's just great, she's always smiling, always positive, even when she has little energy, even when she's having a hard time. She's always there," Luis Squicciarini said.
Rehabilitation and new projects
After completing the stage of radiation therapy, doctors allowed Chekalina moderate physical activity. She returned to practicing Argentine tango, which helps her in the recovery process. The blogger stressed that music and movement allow her to distract from the difficult treatment and focus on positive emotions.
"For me, tango is not just a dance, it's movement, it's music, it's life, it's my way of healing," Chekalina shared.
In parallel with the treatment, Chekalina continues to engage in business. She launched the LEA clothing brand, taking part in the creation of the collection at various stages of therapy. Working on the project has become an important factor for her to stay active while fighting cancer.
Court case and debts
A criminal investigation into the illegal transfer of more than 250 million rubles abroad continues against Chekalina. The Gagarin District Court of Moscow allowed the blogger to change his residence address during the investigation. At the same time, the petition for the resumption of proceedings in the case in mid-July was left without consideration.
Earlier, Valeria Chekalin and Artem Chekalin fully paid off debts to the tax service in the amount of 175 million rubles. To pay off this debt, the family had to sell the mansion. Squicciarini continues to support Cekalina, accompanying her at all stages of treatment and rehabilitation.
