Rescuers told about the amount of time to rescue a drowning man
There is no more than six minutes to save a person who has gone swimming under the water. This was reported on July 21 in the press service of the State Institution "Mosoblpozhspas".
"Suffocating while swimming and going under water is enough in just one minute. If a person has been under water for no more than six minutes, there is a chance to bring him back to life," the source said in an interview with the RIA Novosti news agency.
He pointed out a number of characteristic signs by which one can understand that a person is drowning. Among them are wide—open eyes and a complete lack of gaze. The drowning man's head is either shown above the water, then hidden under it, or tilted back. In an attempt to take a breath, a person keeps his mouth open, and his hands instinctively spread out to the sides.
The representative of the department gave recommendations for the rescue of a person who went under water. He explained that to find a drowning person, you will need to dive — perhaps more than once. When the victim is found, you should fix him — grab his hands or hair, and then, pushing off powerfully from the bottom, come up with him. When transporting to the shore, it is important to ensure that the person's face remains above the water at all times, the specialist emphasized.
On July 1, a man's corpse was fished out of the Moskva River in the Kuntsevo metropolitan area. A body without signs of life was found in the area of 2nd Myakininskaya Street. It was clarified that the body was discovered by a man passing by on a boat.
