FIFA will hold a trial due to the aggression of the players of the national team of Argentina
"FIFA intends to conduct an investigation into the behavior of the Argentine national team after the final whistle of the World Cup final," the publication says.
Paredes' Attack
According to the publication, the reason for the proceedings was a series of conflict episodes that occurred immediately after the end of the game. For example, Argentine defender Leandro Paredes knocked down Spaniard Eric Garcia, and when he tried to get up, grabbed him by the neck. Later, Paredes attacked Gavi: the Argentine punched the player twice in the face.
Other episodes of unsportsmanlike behavior
Another incident is related to Nahuel Molina: a football player tried to attack Manchester City midfielder Rhodri — in the midst of celebrating the victory, Molina hit his opponent with his elbow. In addition, Argentina's coaching staff became involved in the conflict: Roberto Ayala tried to punch Spanish midfielder Dani Olmo in the face. Also, the entire Argentine team defiantly turned away from the podium when the Spaniards were awarded gold medals.
