On July 20, US President Donald Trump called the last FIFA World Cup the safest and most spectacular in history, noting the contribution of law enforcement agencies and thanking the organizers of the tournament.

"The FIFA World Cup turned out to be a great success! I want to thank everyone involved, but especially our excellent law enforcement agencies. The respect that everyone feels for them, along with their love for our country, has made this great championship the safest and most spectacular World Cup in history by a wide margin!" Trump wrote on his Truth Social network.
