Trump warned Iran about paying for every US military killed

On July 20, US President Donald Trump threatened Iran with harsh and repeated retaliation for the death of any American serviceman at the hands of Tehran.

"Every time Iran kills an American soldier, they will pay for this murder in multiple amounts," he wrote on his page on the Truth Social network.

Trump said he had already sent a special directive to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Daniel Kane. All commanders in the US Armed Forces have also received similar orders for harsh retaliatory measures against Tehran.

Earlier in the day, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps attacked American warplanes with ballistic missiles at Aqaba Airport in southern Jordan. In addition, the Iranian military shot down an enemy MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle in the western regions of the country.

On July 19, the Central Command of the US Armed Forces announced that the United States had completed the ninth wave of strikes against Iran. It was clarified that American military personnel attacked Iranian military command posts, air defense and coastal surveillance facilities, naval facilities, missile and drone launch sites, as well as communications networks.
