Reports of poisoning of Russians at the World Star Beach Resort & Spa in Antalya have not been confirmed. This was reported to Izvestia on July 20 at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation.

According to media reports, vacationers at the five-star hotel complained of poisoning. There were allegedly more than ten tourists among the victims, including families with children. The guests also complained about the presence of cockroaches in the establishment, dirty dishes and plumbing problems.

The Russian diplomatic mission contacted the relevant Turkish services, where the information that appeared in the media was not confirmed.

"There have also been no complaints from Russian citizens to the Consulate General about poisoning in Alanya. Diplomats will continue to monitor this situation and are ready to provide appropriate consular assistance to the Russians, if necessary," the Russian Consulate General said.

Also on July 15, in Bodrum, Turkey, 25 hotel guests went to hospitals with signs of food poisoning. The incident occurred at a hotel in Ortakent district. Some of the tourists went to hospitals on their own, while the rest were taken at the initiative of the hotel administration. The vacationers reported complaints of nausea, vomiting and stomach pain. According to tourists, the cause of the malaise could be chicken, which was served in the hotel restaurant. Verification has begun.
