Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation Igor Balynin on Monday, July 20, told why it is advantageous to take a vacation in August.
In conversation with aif.ru The expert noted that after May and June, which had non-working holidays, there are no additional holidays in July and August. According to him, the nearest non-working holiday will be November 4, 2026. Balynin also noted that there will be 21 working days in August, which is one of the three months of the year with so many working days.
Balynin stressed that if an employee fully completes August, the number of days off will not affect the amount of his salary in any way.
As an example, the expert cited the calculation for an employee with a salary of 105 thousand rubles per month and an average daily salary of 3.3 thousand rubles. If you take a vacation from July 13 to July 26, the vacation pay will amount to 46.2 thousand rubles, and for the remaining 13 working days the employee will receive 59.4 thousand rubles.
For vacations from August 10 to August 23, the amount of vacation pay will remain the same — 46.2 thousand rubles, but 55 thousand rubles will be paid for the remaining 11 working days. Thus, the difference between payments in July and August will amount to 4.4 thousand rubles, notes 360.ru .
Before that, on July 19, State Duma deputy Alexei Govyrin, in an interview with RT, said that vacation pay is calculated from average earnings. The income for the previous 12 months is divided by 12 and by 29.3.
