Lavrov and the DPRK Foreign Minister condemned the destructive actions of the United States and its allies.

During a meeting in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his North Korean counterpart Choi Song-hee called the irresponsible behavior of the United States and its allies the main reason for the deterioration of the situation around the Korean peninsula and around the world. "During the exchange of views on key international issues, a common understanding was expressed that the main reason for the deterioration of the situation in Northeast Asia and the world as a whole is the irresponsible behavior of the United States and its allies, which are increasing provocative military activity around the Korean peninsula," the publication says.

The Ministers also stressed that in the current circumstances, it is the comprehensive deepening of the strategic partnership between Moscow and Pyongyang that serves as a key counterweight to American provocations and contributes to strengthening international security. The parties confirmed their readiness to jointly build a new multipolar world order, different from the pressure of the West.

Choi Song-hee arrived in Moscow on an official visit on July 18 at the invitation of Lavrov. During the trip, on July 19, she met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, to whom she also expressed North Korea's support for all of Russia's efforts to assert its sovereignty. Then the minister said that Pyongyang advocates the need to eliminate all the root causes of the conflict in Ukraine.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko announced the continuation of the Russian Federation and the DPRK strengthening their bilateral cooperation. According to him, the parties regularly contact each other at various levels.
