The whole village watched the World Cup final in Pasha

On July 19, a sports evening for local residents, organized by Mash at the Sink, took place in the village of Pasha in the Leningrad Region. The residents of the small village watched the final together and participated in a sports tournament from Quiz+.

Before the match, the participants joined teams and answered questions about football and sports. The winners received memorable prizes, after which the villagers gathered together in the sports hall for the broadcast of the final.

There were several generations in one room at once. Someone came for the sake of football, someone out of curiosity, but they all left with strong emotions. We discussed the game, argued about the hot moments and cheered as if the final was taking place right outside the window. Joint participation in the quiz, teamwork and watching the match created an atmosphere in which the main result was not only the competition, but also the opportunity to spend time together, get to know each other and feel like part of a single community.

It is enough to recall the football player Vozinho, who played in the lower leagues of Portugal all his life, and thanks to the World Cup he became one of the most recognizable people in modern football. Such examples show how powerful a unifying force this sport has, and how important it is to go deeper into its popularization.
