Construction of a connecting road between the Moscow High-Speed Diameter (MSD) and Akademika Koroleva Street continues in Moscow, the key element of which will be a new overpass through the tracks of the MCD-3. The progress of the work was examined by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, who told about it in his channel in Maks.

"Petrovsko-Razumovskaya transport hub is one of the largest in the city, with several metro lines, MCD-1 and MCD-3. The HSR will be held here, and a large city railway station will be formed here. In addition, about a dozen major road projects are being implemented here, two thirds of which have already been implemented. One of these projects, the construction of which is coming to an end, is an overpass connecting the high—speed diameter and Akademika Koroleva Street. It will improve the transport accessibility of four Moscow districts and ensure the construction of a high—speed rail line," Sergei Sobyanin said.

Construction of the road began in September 2023. The work is being carried out simultaneously with the implementation of several other major infrastructure projects, including the creation of the Moscow—St. Petersburg high-speed highway, the development of the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya transport hub and the reconstruction of the Dmitrovsky overpass.

According to the General Director of JSC "MISK" Farit Khaidarov, 260 people and 57 pieces of equipment work at the facility around the clock. The construction readiness of the two overpasses is about 60%.

A new 2.8 km traffic-free highway will connect the MSD with Akademika Koroleva Street. It will run from the intersection of Valaam Street with Dmitrov Highway along the tracks of MCD-3 to the intersection of Akademika Koroleva and Botanic Streets. The road will have two or three lanes in each direction and will improve the transport accessibility of four districts of the capital at once.
