Attractions were closed in Krasnodar parks due to the heat

In Krasnodar, amusement rides were suspended in parks during the daytime. The reason is the abnormally hot weather.

The announcement of the closure of the attractions appeared on the official Telegram channel "Walking in the parks of Krasnodar". The park administration advised vacationers to keep an eye on social media posts about the current opening hours of entertainment facilities.

According to KrasnodarMedia news agency, earlier forecasters warned that on Monday, July 20, in the Krasnodar Territory, the temperature may exceed the climatic norm. During the day, the air in the region will warm up to +33 degrees, which is a significant excess of the long-term average for this time of year.

In such conditions, the use of outdoor attractions can be dangerous both for visitors and for the equipment itself. Thus, the decision to temporarily suspend the operation of the attractions was made for safety reasons.

Earlier, Massimiliano Fazzini, a lecturer in physical geography and climate risks at the University of Camerino, said that the record heat in Europe was due to the fact that an ordinary oceanic anticyclone was displaced by subtropical anticyclones that came from desert areas.
