Lavrov pointed to the successful implementation of the decisions of the leaders of Russia and the DPRK.

The decisions approved by the leaders of Russia and North Korea at the Pyongyang summit in 2024 are being consistently implemented. This was stated on July 20 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a meeting with North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Song-hee in Moscow.

"Two years have passed since the Pyongyang summit in June 2024, and the decisions that were approved by our leaders there are consistently being implemented. We, as foreign policy agencies, are contributing to this process, in particular, by conducting the third round of strategic dialogue," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

The Russian Foreign Minister also noted the importance of continued trusting communication between Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean Chairman Kim Jong Un. The Minister recalled their participation on September 3 last year in Beijing in celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over militaristic Japan.

On July 19, Putin said that he highly appreciates the deep understanding that has developed with Kim Jong-un. According to him, relations between the DPRK and Russia are developing in all directions. He noted that he was glad to see the Foreign Minister of the Republic.
