Sergei Karjakin, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Social Policy, grandmaster, and president of the Moscow Region Chess Federation, stressed that he was skeptical about the possibility of the Russian national chess team participating in an international tournament in the current circumstances. He told about it on July 20 in the press center of the Izvestia News Center.

According to him, FIDE's decision is already known. At the same time, he positively assessed its revision.
