The forecast is based on the dynamics of Brent quotations over the previous five days, data on oil reserves in the United States, OPEC+ decisions and the geopolitical situation in the Middle East.

"My base case for the week looks like a wide corridor from $80 to $95 with sharp movements on every headline from the region," Rusyaev said.

According to him, the increase in quotations is due to the actual termination of the truce between the United States and Iran, the suspension of a significant part of commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and the risk of Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
