Iran strikes US planes at Aqaba airport in southern Jordan

The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked American warplanes with ballistic missiles at Aqaba airport in southern Jordan. This was reported on July 20 by the Press TV channel.

"The IRGC stated that it had launched ballistic missile strikes on C-17 and P-8 aircraft of the US Armed Forces at Aqaba airport," Press TV wrote on its Telegram channel.

In addition, the Iranian military shot down an enemy MQ-9 unmanned aerial vehicle in the western regions of the country.

On July 19, the Central Command of the US Armed Forces announced that the United States had completed the ninth wave of strikes against Iran. It was clarified that American military personnel attacked Iranian military command posts, air defense and coastal surveillance facilities, naval facilities, missile and drone launch sites, as well as communications networks.
