The regions with the highest average pensions are listed

The highest average pension rates in June 2026 were recorded in Chukotka, the Nenets Autonomous Okrug (AO), the Kamchatka Territory, the Magadan Region and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. This was confirmed on July 20 by the data of the Social Fund of Russia (SFR), which is cited by TASS.

According to the SFR, Chukotka became the leader in terms of the average pension, where the figure was 42,270 rubles. Next on the list are the Nenets Autonomous District with a payment of 38,831 rubles, the Kamchatka Territory — 37,662 rubles, the Magadan Region — 37,582 rubles and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District — 37,097 rubles.

The average pension in Russia in June 2026 reached 25,402 rubles.

Pensions will rise in the fall: which Russians will have their payments recalculated from September 1

Pensioners who completed their work in August will receive a pension from September, taking into account all indexations.

Evgeny Masharov, a member of the commission of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation for public control and work with citizens' appeals, announced on July 19 that on Saturday, August 1, the SFR will conduct an annual recalculation of old-age insurance pensions for working pensioners, taking into account contributions for 2025. The adjustment of payments will take place automatically, as information about the length of service and insurance premiums of employees is received by the department as part of mandatory reporting by employers.
