South Korea has increased the import of medicines from Russia 37 times

The supply of medicines from Russia to South Korea increased almost 40 times in a year and exceeded $700 thousand. This is evidenced by data from the South Korean statistical service, which was reviewed by RIA Novosti on July 19.

According to statistics, Seoul imported $735,000 worth of medicines from Moscow. A year earlier, in June 2025, the import of drugs amounted to only $20 thousand. Thus, in annual terms, the amount of purchases increased 37 times.

As explained by the advisor and founder of Rodin.Alexey Rodin, Koreans are most interested in domestic vaccines, antibiotics, nootropic and immunostimulating devices.

Despite the sharp increase in supplies, the share of Russian products in the total volume of pharmaceutical imports of the republic remains insignificant and amounts to less than 1%. The leaders in the supply of medicines to South Korea in June were the United States ($271.5 million), Germany ($119.7 million) and Turkey ($67.1 million).
