Zenit defeated Spartak in a penalty shootout and won the Russian Super Cup.

Zenit St. Petersburg defeated Spartak Moscow in the match for the Russian Super Cup on Saturday, July 18. The match ended with a score of 1:1 in regular time, the blue-white-blues turned out to be stronger in the penalty shootout — 4:2.

Red and White midfielder Christopher Martins opened the scoring in the 25th minute. The Luxembourg legionnaire finished the ball into the net after hitting Pablo Solari. Spartak's starting line-up included defender Srdjan Babic, who has not participated in official matches since October 2025 due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
