Moscow schoolchildren won gold at the International Chemistry Olympiad

Moscow schoolchildren have won two gold medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad in Uzbekistan. This was announced on July 18 by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

"Igor Ustinov, a graduate of the 11th grade of school No. 1329, and Arseniy Hasanenko, a student of the 9th grade of the International School of Mixed Education, received awards of the highest dignity," the head of the capital wrote in the Maks messenger.

In addition, as Sobyanin pointed out, Hasanenko was recognized as the absolute winner of the Olympiad, having scored the highest total number of points based on the results of the theoretical and practical rounds.

Moscow schoolchildren competed as part of the Russian national team, consisting of four people. All of them were awarded gold medals. In total, schoolchildren from more than 90 countries participated in the Olympiad.

The press service of the Ministry of Education reported on July 11 that all members of the Russian national team won gold medals at the 56th International Physics Olympiad among Schoolchildren, held in Colombia. It is noted that the Russian national team includes the winners and prize-winners of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren: Alexander Akhremov, Yaroslav Dobrokhvalov, Artyom Eremin, Ivan Pruglo and Bogdan Yaytsevsky.
