In 2026, the number of papers written for the maximum 100 points of the Unified State Exam (USE) exceeded 10 thousand. This was announced on July 17 by the Minister of Education of Russia Sergey Kravtsov.

"With the results of the retakes, the number of papers written for a maximum of 100 points in one or more subjects amounted to 10,090," he is quoted as saying on the agency's website.

Kravtsov recalled that this year, graduates, thanks to the so-called "presidential days", had the opportunity to retake one of the subjects of the Unified State Exam, without losing a year, as it was before. This is what contributed to the increase in 100-point papers, in particular in subjects such as computer science (82 papers with the highest score), literature (65), Russian (58) and specialized mathematics (53).

On July 8, Kravtsov announced that in 2026 there will be a noticeable increase in the average score on the Unified State Exam in natural sciences. So, this indicator in mathematics increased by 4.3 points, and in physics — by 4.7 points. Citing such statistics, the head of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation clarified that the average score of the Unified State Exam as a whole is growing by two points annually.
