The forecaster predicted the return of rains to Moscow next week.

After a warm weekend, heavy rains will return to Moscow in the middle of next week. Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, announced this on Friday, July 17.

"Indeed, the period of weather without precipitation will last four days, and somewhere around the turn of Tuesday-Wednesday, the situation will change: the anticyclone will leave the middle band, a frontal zone will come from the west, and, possibly, an active atmospheric wave will rise from the south," the forecaster told the Moscow city news agency.

He added that a severe cold snap is not expected, writes "Moscow 24".

"The temperature will remain within +20...+25 degrees. This is slightly lower than what is expected on Sunday and Monday. These days it will be +26... +28," concluded Shuvalov.

Heavy precipitation will cover Central Russia over the weekend, flooding is possible in some places.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that sunny and warm weather without significant precipitation is expected in Moscow on July 18 and 19. The air temperature over the weekend will be in the range of +17 to +27 degrees.

In turn, Alexander Ilyin, a forecaster at the Meteo forecasting center, told RT on July 16 that the impact of the anticyclone would raise temperatures in the capital region in the coming days.
