Moscow summed up the results of the youth competition dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Gagarin's flight

Moscow has determined the winners of a popular science competition for young people dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight. The participants were invited to prepare a short informative lecture on promising professions in the modern space industry. In total, they covered more than 85 areas, from engineering to cosmobiology and industrial design.

"Six laureates will deliver their lectures at the VZLET city career Forum and will travel to the Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Center in Zvezdny Gorodok," said Marina Prozorova, Deputy Head of the Moscow Department of Territorial Executive Authorities.

The expert jury selected 20 of the submitted works, the authors of which reached the final. Workshops on public speaking and presentation design were held for them.

In particular, Kirill Zhdanov, a graduate of the Moscow International School, presented the lecture "Space Architect: who designs a house on Mars". Andrey Poltavets, Bachelor of Applied Computer Science at the Witte Moscow University, explained in his lecture the importance of machine learning methodology in the rocket and space field.

The winners were also Alexandra Ordina, Head of the Department of Youth Policy of Higher Education at MFUA, Valery An, Chairman of the Orekhovo-Borisovo Yuzhnoye Youth Chamber, and Alexey Fazylov, head of the SMM department at a gaming company and IT consultant. Besides them, Valeria Fesunenko, a student and chairman of the Presidential Academy's Student Parliamentary Club, was named the winner.

The idea of holding the competition was proposed during a round table at the Museum of Cosmonautics. The organizers were the City Center for Professional and Career Development and the Metropolitan Agency for Public Projects under the auspices of the Territory of Opportunities ecosystem of the Moscow Department of Territorial Executive Authorities.
