Deputy Mayor of Moscow invited artists to participate in an art project

Applications for participation in the fifth season of the Contours of Culture art project have been accepted in the capital. Artists from all over Russia are invited to show their skills. To do this, you need to send up to three author's sketches on a given topic by August 16, said Deputy Mayor of Moscow Natalia Sergunina.

"The theme of the anniversary season is a new digital reality in which modern technologies and virtual worlds become part of everyday life. The participants will offer visual solutions for two sites — the Moscow Cluster of Video Games and Animation and the future cluster of media technologies. The winners' works will decorate the entrance atrium, staircases, elevator halls and other public spaces," Sergunina said.

According to her, the total area of the art compositions will be about 1.5 thousand square meters. Contestants can integrate elements of video game and animation worlds into their sketches: characters, myths, architecture, mechanics, as well as tools and the process of their creation — from computer graphics to 3D modeling. Applications are accepted on the official website of the Contours of Culture project.

Experts will evaluate the compliance of the works with the requirements, the professional level of execution, the originality and adaptability of the idea to a specific location, taking into account its interior and functional purpose. Based on these parameters, 10 winners will be determined who will bring their projects to life. During the four seasons of the participants' work, about 60 city venues were decorated.

The final stage will be held in autumn. Visitors to the clusters will be able to observe the work of artists on the sites, communicate with them, attend lectures, expert sessions and other educational events with the participation of representatives of the creative industries.
