Slutsky took part in a religious procession in memory of the royal family

On July 17, LDPR leader Leonid Slutsky took part in the traditional events of the "Tsar's Days" in Yekaterinburg, dedicated to the 108th anniversary of the execution of the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II and his family.

"I believe that it is necessary to fix in our calendar the Day of Remembrance of the Victims who suffered in the 20th century for the faith, for our Orthodox Fatherland. This is long overdue, and today we need to make a decision so that this date in our calendar reminds all generations of those who will come after us about these monstrous events and our assessment of them," Slutsky said.

According to him, the execution of the royal family was not just a political massacre, but a ritual destruction of Russian history, Russian traditions, faith and national code. Slutsky also recalled the party's "Tragedy Next Door" project, aimed at preserving the memory of victims of religious repression in the 20th century, and called on communists to repent for the sins of their political predecessors.

The central event was the nightly Divine Liturgy at the Church on the Blood, after which Slutsky joined the procession. Tens of thousands of pilgrims marched 21 km along the route from the murder site to Ganina Pit, where the remains of the imperial family were buried.

The International Autograph Auctions auction house for the sale of autographs and manuscripts put up for auction archival documents of the Russian emperors in the spring. In particular, a letter from Empress Alexandra Feodorovna and her daughters Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia was put up for auction. The document was written on April 23, 1917, in Cyrillic, and contains all five signatures. The purchase price will range from €10,000 to €12,000.
