The Russian Foreign Ministry did not rule out the possible activation of Ukrainian mercenaries in Mali

The activation of Ukrainian mercenaries and terrorists in Mali cannot be ruled out. This was announced on July 17 by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Georgy Borisenko.

"Nothing can be ruled out, because we can clearly see that many Western countries, and especially Ukraine, are trying in every possible way to harm both Russia and the establishment of sovereign independent states in Africa," Borisenko told TASS.

According to him, African countries resolutely "reject the dictatorship of the former metropolises," as well as all the neo-colonial aspirations of the West.

On the same day, Borisenko said that the Ukrainian military is in several African states and is trying to form a "second front" against Russia there. In particular, we are talking about Mali, where, according to the deputy minister, there are Ukrainian instructors in the ranks of Islamist militants.
