The tunnel on the Troitskaya metro line has been completed

The first stage tunnel between Novomoskovskaya and Sosenki stations of the Troitskaya metro line has been completed in Moscow. This was stated by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in his channel in Maks.

The Olga shield passed 1.6 kilometers under the Sosenka River and the Kaluga Highway. The maximum depth was 31 meters. Currently, the right tunnel is being drilled between Novomoskovskaya and Sosenki stations. The work has been completed by 30% and is expected to be completed in November.

In the fall of 2025, specialists began the second stage of construction of the Troitskaya metro line. Almost 17 km of the line and 6 stations are to be built as part of the southern section: Sosenki, Rakitki, Desna, Kedrovaya, Vatutinki and Troitsk.

Earlier, the Mayor of Moscow approved the draft layout of the territory of the Kedrovaya transport hub, which will be located between Kaluzhskoye Highway and Stanislavsky Ponds. The transport hub will include the Troitskaya metro station under construction and ground-level urban transport stops.

The Troitskaya line will become one of the longest in the Moscow metro, as well as the basis of the transport framework of the Troitsk and Novomoskovsky administrative districts (TiNAO). After the construction is completed, the branch line will stretch from the ZIL station to Troitsk. Thanks to it, the demanded stations of the Sokolnicheskaya, Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya and Butovskaya lines will be unloaded by 20%, Sobyanin noted.
