The meteorologist gave the weather forecast for August for Moscow
The average temperature in August in Moscow will exceed the climatic norm by about one degree, and precipitation is expected to be close to normal. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Moscow Meteorological Bureau, told Izvestia about this.
The meteorologist detailed the forecast for the decades. According to her, in the first decade of August, the night temperature will be +13...+18 degrees, daytime — +20...+25 degrees.
"I think it's just great weather," the expert added.
In the second decade, the nights will become cooler — +11...+16 degrees, during the day +17 ...+22 degrees are expected. By the end of the month, the temperature will continue to decrease: at night — +8...+13 degrees, during the day — +15...+20 degrees.
"In August, the air temperature is already starting to drop. The annual maximum temperature falls just on the last days of July," explained Tatiana Pozdnyakova.
The meteorologist drew attention to the local nature of precipitation — it is precisely because of it that monthly forecasts for their volume are not very accurate.
"Precipitation is very local," said Tatiana Pozdnyakova. — For example, now everyone is saying that July has been flooded with rains, and in Moscow even half of the monthly norm has not yet fallen. Therefore, precipitation forecasts are partly subjective," she explained.
At the same time, the meteorologist stressed that so far it is more about the climate forecast: more detailed and reliable data will appear only at the end of July.
"Almost every day during the whole month, short—term rains are possible," said Tatiana Pozdnyakova.
