In the Moscow region, two people died in an accident with a truck on the M-1 highway.

A fatal accident involving a truck and a passenger car occurred on the 98th km of the M-1 Belarus highway in Mozhaisk district. This was announced on July 16 in the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region.

The accident happened at about 06:20 Moscow time. According to preliminary data, the truck driver drove into the oncoming lane and collided with a Volkswagen car.

"As a result of the accident, the driver and one of the passengers of the car were killed, the second passenger was hospitalized with injuries," the department's Telegram channel said.

Currently, traffic police officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the audit.
