Solntsevo residents have sent more than 10 tons of humanitarian aid to their fighters.

Since 2022, activists from the Solntsevo metropolitan area have collected and delivered more than 10 tons of humanitarian supplies to the front line for participants in a special military operation (SVO). This was reported on the portal on July 16. mos.ru .

Volunteers have been collecting aid since the very beginning of their military service, purchasing and sending generators, auto parts, construction materials, tools, as well as food and clothing to military personnel.

In addition, two cabins and a UAZ car were transferred for the needs of the air defense units. The work is coordinated by the Apostol Charitable Foundation, which in 2023 opened two workshops in the area, where volunteers mastered the weaving of camouflage coverings and sewing of tactical suits "Leshy".

"In total, during the work, the parishioners produced and handed over to the fighters more than a thousand 3x6 m camouflage nets, over 1.5 thousand paracord bracelets, about 1.2 thousand helmet patches and more than 650 anti-drone curtains. We send everything that is produced to various units — scouts, search engines, tank crews, motorized riflemen, attack aircraft, according to their requests," said Maxim Blagodatsky, director of the foundation.

Members of the Makovets youth club at the Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh also joined in supporting the fighters. Starting in the fall of 2024, they have manufactured and sent to the front about 3 thousand trench candles. In addition, young people independently produce dry rations and fast food in lightweight packaging, which is convenient to transport over long distances.

On July 15, the Moscow Mayor's website reported that Alexandra Evseeva, a regular participant in the city's seasonal projects "Summer in Moscow", "Winter in Moscow" and "Moscow Seasons", regularly sends handmade gingerbread cookies to her fighters. The entrepreneur prepares special parties for the holidays. She is convinced that the main thing now is to continue to support the fighters so that they remember that their loved ones are waiting for them at home.
