Iran reported the destruction of an MQ9 UAV in the sky over the city of Endimeshk.

The air defense forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have destroyed an MQ9 drone in the skies over Iran. This was announced on July 16 by the Iranian state television and radio company IRIB.

"A few minutes ago, an enemy MQ9 drone was intercepted and destroyed in the sky over Endymeshk," the Telegram channel said.

The Mehr news agency reported on the same day that the Iranian cities of Sirik and Bandar Abbas, located in the south of the Islamic Republic, were attacked by the United States. In addition, strikes were carried out on the island of Qeshm.

On July 15, the press service of the Central Command of the US Armed Forces reported that the United States had launched new attacks on Iranian facilities. It was noted that the targets were Tehran's military facilities used to threaten ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
