The Msta-S crew of the Center group of forces destroyed the AFU drone control center

Servicemen of the Msta-S self-propelled artillery unit (ACS) of the 35th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Center group of forces destroyed the drone control center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and paved the way for Russian attack aircraft. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on July 16.

It is noted that during the performance of combat missions, the military personnel of the ACS inflicted fire damage on the AFU stronghold on the outskirts of one of the settlements, providing support to the advancing assault units. The work of the gunners was built in close cooperation with the stormtroopers, which made it possible to strike with high accuracy.

"During the military operation, we are working on enemy manpower and armored vehicles. <...> In our free time, we try to maintain the car as much as possible so that it never lets us down," said Alexei Zabaluev, commander of the combat vehicle, noting that the work of Russian attack aircraft depends on coordinated actions.

Artyom Venediktov, the battery's senior driver, stressed that new 2025 vehicles are currently being delivered, the quality of which the Russian fighters are satisfied with.

In addition, during aerial reconnaissance, a control point for enemy unmanned aerial vehicles was discovered, from where heavy hexacopters were launched and guided, as well as control of FPV drones via fiber. After receiving the coordinates, the gunners suppressed the object, destroying it along with the operators and communication equipment. This made it impossible for the enemy to use attack drones against Russian attack aircraft.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of the gunners, it was possible to crack the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and destroy a key element of the unmanned aircraft control system in this sector of the front, the department concluded.

On July 15, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that military personnel of the Lancet barrage ammunition unit from the 61st Guards Marine Brigade of the Center group of forces attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Dobropolsky direction. It was noted that as a result, enemy armored vehicles and trucks were destroyed.
