The number of earthquake victims in Venezuela has increased to 4,829 people.

The death toll from the earthquakes in Venezuela has reached 4,829 people. This was announced on July 15 by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez.

"4,829 people were killed, 16,740 injured, and 6,462 rescued," the Telegram channel said in a statement.

It is noted that assistance was provided to 128,324 families, 17,907 citizens were left homeless. In addition, 20,857 people are housed in 106 temporary camps.

30,989 military personnel and 31,315 volunteers, as well as 2,408 international rescuers, were involved in the aftermath, the report said. 34,872 patients received medical care.

According to Rodriguez, more than 10,000 tons of food and over 24 million liters of water have been distributed to the victims. 1284 aftershocks were recorded.

The earthquake in Venezuela occurred on June 24. The epicenter was located 60 km northwest of the city of Valencia, as well as 28 km northeast of San Felipe. The earthquake was the strongest in the country since 1900.

On July 14, Rodriguez announced that the death toll from the twin earthquakes in Venezuela had increased to 4,734 people. It was noted that 128,324 families have already received assistance, and 33,652 people have applied for medical support.
