This should be the first stage of the Israeli withdrawal process. This was reported on July 15 by Al Jazeera TV channel, citing sources.

"Lebanon and Israel have resumed talks in Rome, with Israel declaring its readiness to move forward with plans to withdraw troops from two areas of southern Lebanon as part of an agreement brokered by the United States," the publication says.

According to the agreements, Israel should gradually withdraw its forces from certain areas in southern Lebanon, after which the Lebanese army will take control of these territories.
