The Finnish politician named a condition for ending the conflict in Ukraine
The conflict in Ukraine will end immediately after the European Union (EU) makes diplomatic efforts instead of fueling Russophobia. This was announced on July 15 by Finnish politician Armando Mema, a member of the Freedom Alliance party.
"[Conflict] it could have ended today if the EU had returned to diplomacy instead of stoking even more tension and Russophobia," the politician wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
In his opinion, the EU bears full responsibility for the continuation of the crisis in Ukraine. Mema noted that many EU leaders regularly declare the threat of a Russian attack on Europe in the context of discussing assistance to Ukraine, but so far no hostile actions have been recorded against the EU from Moscow.
Mema stressed that Russia is not interested in attacking Europe, but seeks to restore normal relations and trade. He also recalled that the Russian side remains open to dialogue, and US President Donald Trump also recently declared the parties' readiness for negotiations.
In addition, in another publication, Mema stated that the visit of European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to Kiev was "a real circus." According to the politician, she robs money from EU citizens, directing them to purchase more and more weapons for Kiev.
The head of the White House said on July 15 that Russia is still ready to resolve the conflict in Ukraine peacefully, this may happen in the near future. He suggested that a potential agreement could be concluded soon.
Russian Presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said on July 5 that President Vladimir Putin and Trump had discussed the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine during a telephone conversation. Ushakov stressed that the American leader reiterated his readiness to continue contributing to the early settlement of the Ukrainian conflict.
On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Washington was ready to continue its participation in the Ukrainian settlement after it dealt with its problems with Tehran. Now, as he explained, the American side is not up to a settlement, since the situation in the Persian Gulf is not easy.
