Specialists of the Moscow City Management Complex have completed major repairs of the City-Central passenger berths on Presnenskaya Embankment and Andreevsky on Andreevskaya Embankment. This was announced on Wednesday, July 15, by the Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and landscaping, Peter Biryukov.

According to him, the condition of the city's berths is regularly checked, and the decision to carry out current or major repairs is made based on the results of surveys. The overhaul of these facilities was required due to the wear of structures and cladding, the Moscow City News Agency reports.

The bottom was reinforced at the City Central pier, concrete structures were restored, granite cladding, fences, breakers and office premises were updated. The tongue-and-groove fencing was replaced at Andreevsky, the mooring wall was restored, the granite paving of stairs and parapets was repaired, new railings were installed, mooring bollards were replaced, and office spaces were also renovated.

Biryukov recalled that both berths are used for mooring passenger ships and servicing river routes during navigation, writes Moscow 24.
