In 2026, 179 houses in the Eastern Administrative District will be renovated as part of the Moscow housing stock overhaul program. This was announced on Wednesday, July 15, according to the website of the Moscow City Hall.
The tallest object will be a 22-storey building on Sayanskaya Street in the Ivanovskoye district. The facade and roof will be repaired here. Specialists have already restored the inter-panel seams, insulated the walls, mounted the window frames and started cladding the facade. It is also planned to repair the entrances, plinth, blind area, balconies and install baskets for air conditioners, the Moscow City News agency reports.
The longest facility will be a 17-storey ten-entrance building on Khabarovsk Street in Golyanov. The facade and roof of the building will be renovated, the basements will be put in order and utilities will be replaced. The "wet facade" technology will be used to repair the exterior walls, as well as new baskets for air conditioners will be installed, entrances, plinths and blind areas will be repaired, double-glazed windows in public areas will be replaced, Moscow 24 writes.
The program also includes a five-storey house built in 1926 in the constructivist style on Korolenko Street in Sokolniki. The facade and architectural elements will be restored here, the roof, basements and engineering systems will be updated, including electricity, heating, water supply and sanitation, as well as the entrances will be put in order.
