Navrotsky was interrogated in connection with the use of his office apartment for personal purposes

Polish President Karol Nawrocki was questioned in the case of abuse of office by civil servants. On July 15, the press secretary of the Gdansk Prosecutor's Office, Mariusz Dusinski, told reporters.

The representative of the supervisory authority explained that the investigation is connected with the suspicion of illegal permission for the gratuitous use of apartments that belong to the Museum of the Second World War in Gdansk. Navrotsky was involved in the production, since during the period that became the subject of the audit, he held the position of director of this institution.

"The President of the Polish Republic, Karol Nawrocki, was questioned as a witness. The interrogation took place in Warsaw, at the presidential palace," Duszynski was quoted as saying by Polskie Radio 24.

The reason for the criminal case was publications in the media. According to these data, Navrotsky, as director of the museum, used apartments in the organization's hotel complex for free for more than six months. It is specified that the official's actual place of residence was about 5 km from the museum site.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk called an emergency government meeting on May 23 after police received a false report of a fire in Nawrocki's apartment in Gdansk. He stressed that he was in constant contact with the ministers and services, and stated his intention to use all available means to identify and detain those involved in the provocation, regardless of their origin and leadership.
