The police began checking after the death of a student in a river in the Kuban

In the Krasnodar Territory, in the village of Poltava, a 17-year-old student drowned while swimming in a river. The police started checking.

According to the newspaper "Voice of Truth", the young man was relaxing by the pond with friends. When he reached the middle of the river, he began to sink. Eyewitnesses immediately called rescuers and an ambulance, but the student's body was found only an hour later.

It is still unknown what exactly caused his death. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the causes of the incident, the KrasnodarMedia news agency clarifies.

Earlier it was reported that a teenager drowned in the Vilyu River in Yakutia in the Suntarsky district. Four rescuers and 30 people from the local population were looking for the boy.
