In Yakutia, the Lena region is preparing for flooding. The reason is the rising water level in the Lena River due to heavy rainfall.

Farmlands and low-lying areas in Vitim and Peledui may be flooded in the next 24 hours, the Yakut UGMS warned.

In turn, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Yakutia advised residents of these settlements to lift valuable things into the attics of houses, collect documents, money and medicines, drive cattle to higher ground, prepare warm clothes, shoes and a supply of food for 2-3 days. The rescue department did not rule out an evacuation announcement.

IA YakutiaMedia clarifies that on July 13, a high-alert regime was introduced in the Verkhoyansky district due to flooding.
