In Novosibirsk, a child died from electric shock when touching a drainpipe

A 10-year-old boy died in Novosibirsk after being electrocuted by contact with one of the drainpipes during a walk. This was reported on July 15 in the press service of the Investigative Department (SU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia for the region.

"The boy was on a walk near a household on Stanichnaya Street in the Dzerzhinsky district of Novosibirsk. The youngster touched the drain pipe, which is under electrical voltage, and received an electric shock. The child died from his injuries at the scene," the ministry said in a statement on the Maks messenger.

It is noted that the tragedy occurred on Saturday evening, July 13. A set of investigative measures is currently being implemented to establish all the circumstances and details of the incident.

A criminal case was opened into the incident in accordance with Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"). The course of the investigation, as explained in the SU of the Investigative Committee for the Novosibirsk region, is under the control of their leadership.

On June 19, the Investigative Committee of the Voronezh Region reported the death of a 10-year-old boy after attending a sports training session. It was noted that the tragedy occurred immediately after the end of the lesson. The child fell unconscious and received first aid from a trainer. Subsequently, the minor was taken to a medical facility, where, despite resuscitation, he died. A criminal case was also opened into the incident under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
