Repair of the suspension bridge over the Velikaya began in Opochka in the Pskov region

The repair of a suspension bridge over the Velikaya River has begun in the city of Opochka in the Pskov region. The head of the Opochetsky municipal district, Yuri Ilyin, announced this on his page on the VKontakte social network on Tuesday, July 14.

We are talking about the crossing of the Velikaya River from Beregovaya Street to Meditsinskaya Street. The bridge is completely closed for the duration of the work, starting today.

According to the contract, the contractor will have to complete the work by July 31, 2026. The authorities are asked to take into account the closure of the bridge when planning routes, the Pskov news feed clarifies.

In June, it was reported that a temporary bridge over the Gdovka River would be built in the Pskov region. The construction of a temporary facility is required for major repairs of the main structure.
