The average cost of a room in Moscow hotels decreased by 6% over the year
In Moscow, the average cost of a hotel room decreased by 6% during the year. This was stated by the head of the Strategic and Management Consulting department at CORE.XP Marina Zhukova reported on Tuesday, July 14th.
The expert noted that four high–quality hotel facilities were opened in the capital in January - June 2026. Collectively, they added 609 rooms to the market.
Zhukova clarified that the main volume of the new offer was formed by four—star hotels - 479 rooms, while five-star hotels accounted for 130 rooms.
"The average room price is at 11 thousand rubles per day, which is 6% lower than last year," she said in an interview with the Moscow City News agency.
Oksana Bulakh, a member of the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) committee on domestic tourism, said on July 8 that the duration of trips by Russians is decreasing this summer season, RT reports.
Vasily Ovchinnikov, head of the Video Game Industry Development Organization, said on July 2 that if a person liked the atmosphere of the place shown on the screen, then he may have a desire to see it in real life, NSN reports.
