Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko may become the head of the office of the President of the country after leaving office. On July 14, Verkhovna Rada deputy Olga Vasilevskaya-Smaglyuk wrote about this in her Telegram channel.

In addition, according to her, the current head of the office of the Ukrainian president, Kirill Budanov (listed in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist), may become Minister of Defense of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced on July 12 that he plans to change the composition of the entire government of Ukraine and dismiss Sviridenko. He cited the country's preparations for the new winter and agreements with Kiev's allies on reconstruction as the reasons for the personnel changes. Sviridenko herself confirmed that she was leaving the post of Prime Minister of Ukraine. She has been working in this position since July 17, 2025.

On July 14, the Verkhovna Rada voted for Sviridenko's resignation, which means the resignation of the entire Cabinet of Ministers of the country. Now Denis Shmygal has again assumed the role of acting head of government. The remaining ministers remain in their posts and in their acting roles.

Sviridenko's likely new position is the post of Ukraine's ambassador to the United States. It is currently occupied by Olga Stefanyshina, but the Ukrainian media reported on her impending resignation at her own request.
