76 people suffered from tick bites in Amur region

Over the past week, 76 people have suffered from tick bites in the Amur region. Pest activity has declined.

According to PriamurMedia news agency, 54 ticks were received at the laboratory. The causative agents of tick—borne borreliosis were found in 12 samples, and rickettsiosis in another one.

There are 25 children among the injured. Despite the decrease in tick activity, doctors recommend taking precautions, in particular using repellents and wearing closed clothing outdoors.

Since the beginning of the season, 386 thousand people with tick bites have applied to medical institutions in Russia. Pest activity decreased by 21.3% compared to last year.
