Politico named the goals of von der Leyen's upcoming visit to Ukraine
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will visit Ukraine on July 15 to discuss EU enlargement and military assistance. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on July 14.

Earlier, von der Leyen said that the European Union would raise the issue of allocating up to 45 billion euros to Kiev at the G7 summit in Evian. She confirmed that the first tranche of €9 billion under the general credit line will be transferred to Kiev by the end of the year.
On July 12, Reuters reported that the German authorities had allocated €90 million for the purchase of 50,000 attack drones for the needs of Kiev. Auterion CEO Lorenz Mayer confirmed the financing of the deal by a European country and said that some of the cars have already arrived in Ukraine, while the rest will arrive by the end of 2026.
